Where to go on your next vacation? Nashville, Tennessee.
This city is a country music fan’s dream! With so much history passing through these streets, it is hard to pick where to go and what to do. A favorite is the RCA Studio which is Nashville’s oldest recording studio. Between 1957 and 1977 alone, over 35,000 songs were recorded here. Don’t forget to make your own recording and take it home with you as a special souvenir.
Make your way down Music Row and you will not be disappointed! Bars line the street, playing live sets through open windows as you pass. Pay attention because you may just be getting an up close and personal look at potentially the “next big star”. Souvenir shops and other attractions like the Johnny Cash Museum can be found scattered throughout this area as well so make sure you make some time for this area of the city. Big named bars like Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge and Alan Jackson’s Bar are here but you can also find some more budget friendly places like Benchmark and Big Shotz on 2nd Street. You can find amazing musicians in almost any bar you walk into so just find a band you like, grab a drink and listen to the music.
A trip to Tennessee would not be complete without a visit to a moonshine factory. Ole Smokey Distillery has a great tasting along with Yee-Haw Brewing Company which is located in the same building. Try the moonshine pickles or grab a flight of beer. Uber or Lyft is definitely the way to go if you make your way to this side of town.
Dining in this city is incredible. From Mac and Cheese to BBQ, this city does it right. It is recommended to make a reservation at a place you like. Dinner time will likely be crowded and waiting while smelling the delicious food may drive you crazy. Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant is a local favorite but good luck trying to decide between the fried chicken and the smoked meatloaf.
