TORONTO – March 07, 2016 – Fresh from a string of industry recognitions, Vision Travel’s Strategic Meetings and Incentives (SM+i) division is bullish about growth.
After an exceptionally strong 2015, SM+i has already posted 10% growth for 2016 with programs still finalizing. Additionally, clients are booking well into 2017 and 2018 with a number already sourcing for 2019.
Shaping the course of the industry
The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) recently recognized two members of SM+i team for their contribution to the growth and development of industry practitioners across Canada.
Diane Alexander received the President’s Award for her work to cultivate the development of the Young Leaders Program within SITE, recruiting 12 new members and increasing events specific to Young Leaders throughout the year. Alexander also spearheaded a mentorship program that allows veteran industry members to share knowledge and best practices with emerging leaders.
Christy Wright was awarded Volunteer Champion of the Year for her contributions to numerous committees within SITE. Among the Committees Christy contributed to where the Young Leaders, the Spring & Holiday Socials and the Education Day. These events aimed at networking opportunities, fundraising, industry education. This is Christy’s 2nd Volunteer of the Year Award. As well, she was awarded the Site Scholarship for Young Leaders which allowed her to attend SITE Global Conference in India.
