TORONTO (May 7, 2015) – Following the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal, Vision Travel, Canada’s largest independently-owned travel management company, is working with the Canadian Medical Assistance Team (CMAT), to bring doctors from various parts of Canada to the centre of the relief efforts in Kathmandu.
Through Vision Travel Foundation, the company’s not-for-profit arm, Vision Travel is able to react quickly and provide immediate assistance to CMAT, who reached out to Vision at the onset of the crisis.
“As a global nation, we all have our responsibilities and roles to play in times of crisis. As the situation in Nepal evolves from emergency response to relief and rebuilding efforts, the presence of doctor’s on ground will be crucial in helping the injured and the weak. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this effort,” says Brian Robertson, Chief Operating Officer of Vision Travel.
